Seattle Municipal Traffic Court Records

The Seattle Municipal Court handles all traffic offenses, including citations from red-light automated cameras, as well as traffic violations issued by the Seattle Police Department and Parking Enforcement. Details of these cases are integrated into the court's public online portal, making it easy for individuals to resolve issues and make payments promptly.

Persons who seek to locate lost tickets, verify their hearing dates, or check the status of a moving violation can utilize the Citation Search feature available on the Seattle Municipal Court Case Information and Records portal. This tool enables users to search by license plate or citation number. If a person's vehicle has been impounded due to unpaid tickets, the online portal is useful for resolving the issue and determining the payments required for release.

Users can also download standard copies of traffic case dispositions and histories directly from the portal. However, if certified copies are needed, which is often required by the Washington State Department of Licensing or insurance companies to verify driving records or resolve violations, they can be requested in writing or in person from the Clerk's Office, with a certification fee of $1 per page.
